Unlike many Web Designers who come from either a technical or graphical background, Anna Celeste Watson (BAFA) comes from a more artistic tradition.

After leaving Northbrook College of Art and Design in Worthing Sussex in 1997, she went on to complete a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Fine Art (Painting) at Wimbledon School of Art London. Whilst studying in London her work developed into the area of Film and Video, where she produced short films and video installations for exhibition.

After graduating in 2000 Anna worked as the Video Editor for Travel TV at Teddington Studios where she edited corporate videos, broadcast programmes for Sky Television and streamed video for the web, as well as working on the company's own web site content. Having gained invaluable experience in the New Media industry, Anna learnt web design independently after attending courses and conferences in London.

Anna moved back to Sussex in 2001 to work as a Freelance Web Designer and also worked as a Web Designer for Fresh Egg in Worthing for 3 years. In 2005 Anna then relocated to Dorchester in Dorset to work solely as a Freelance Web Designer from her home office, and now specialises in designing creative and corporate web sites for companies throughout Dorset and the UK.

In 2009 Anna is now particularly hoping to focus on more creative projects and to support more ethical businesses including those that promote cruelty-free or alternative living that benefits animals, people and/or the environment. As part of Anna's commitment to encourage more ethical and environmentally sustainable businesses, this site is now hosted by an 'eco friendly' company (Lightbeing Creations) and is solar powered so it doesn't just offer 'carbon credits.

Anna also collaborates with her Partner Stu Jones on some illustration and graphic design work, and works alongside Sherborne and Essex based print design company Studio401 on relevant projects - so in turn we can offer our clients a more complete range of both web and print services. Anna also works with Sussex based Web Developers Mission Systems and DR Solutions International to complete programming work for some of her projects including content management systems and online payment solutions.

June 2009: Anna is very excited to be involved in a new art project by nationally acclaimed Portrait Photographer Pete Millson, as one of his subjects to hopefully be included in his upcoming exhibition and possibly a book in future, LETS SEE: portrait of a community - a project on the people who make up West Dorset LETS communities - Local Exchange Trading Systems - of which Anna is the Web Manager for in her spare time to help support her local community. Getting a sustainable content managed site set-up for free for Dorchester & South Dorset LETS has been a real challenge, not least as it has to be done in her spare time which she has not had enough of so far, but watch this space for a bespoke website design all done through Wordpress (glorified blogs for fully content managed sites!)...
