General Terms and Conditions
The following Terms and Conditions apply to most of Anna Celeste Watson's projects.
N.B. Please also refer to any specific Terms and Conditions outlined in any Quotations or Proposals for your project.
Prices and Quotations
- All prices are given in GBP (Pounds Sterling).
- All prices quoted are valid for three months from the date quoted in the Quotation or Proposal but are subject to change at the discretion of Anna Celeste Watson.
- Anna Celeste Watson has the right to change hourly rates without notice but will inform her existing clients before proceeding with any additional work outside of any agreed Quotations or Proposals.
Discounts
- Anna Celeste Watson offers a 10% discount if you go ahead with 2 or more websites at the same time.
- Anna Celeste Watson offers a 20% ethical discount to completely voluntary, not-for-profit and/or charitable organisations, as well as to
members of Compassion in World Farming, The Vegetarian Society, The Vegan Society or businesses who specifically promote cruelty-free or alternative living that benefits animals, people
and/or the environment.
- Anna Celeste Watson offers a 20% Loyalty Discount for existing clients requiring website updates, website redesigns or additional websites.
- All discounts are always offered at the discretion of Anna Celeste Watson and may be withdrawn at any point if she feels that she has been
misinformed about a client’s charitable or ethical credentials.
Consultations and Expenses
- Anna Celeste Watson does not charge for initial or on-going consultations but travel expenses may be requested at her discretion.
Proposals (Specification Work)
- A holding deposit of £300.00 is requested before Anna Celeste Watson proceeds to draw up a Proposal (Specification) for any site. This
cost will be deducted from the final project costs once agreed so therefore is completed FREE of charge. However, if Anna Celeste
Watson's services are not employed to fully complete the project, the costs would be non-refundable and would act as payment to
compensate for her time and expertise planning the site. If in the unlikely event Anna Celeste Watson became unable to complete the
project, the holding deposit would be fully refunded.
Holding Pages
- Anna Celeste Watson can offer a FREE basic holding page whilst a full site is being developed and in some cases before the Proposal
has been completed. However, if Anna Celeste Watson's services are not employed to complete the project she will send an invoice for
the time involved setting up the holding page at her discretion (usually £50.00 - £100.00 payable within 7 days from the invoice date).
Payment Schedules and Invoices
- Payments are usually scheduled in 3 - 4 stages including the initial holding deposit, as agreed.
- Once the ‘Final Proposal’ has been signed-off, a second deposit payment of at least 30% of the total project cost (minus the holding
deposit paid) is required before Anna Celeste Watson proceeds with any agreed design and/or build work.
- Once the deposit has been received, both Anna Celeste Watson and the client are under contract to complete the work within a
reasonable timescale, unless otherwise unanimously agreed in writing or by email at any time.
- Anna Celeste Watson reserves the right to refrain from starting or continuing any agreed work until the requested deposit/s have been
received and the funds cleared in her bank.
- Once the concept design has been approved, any further or major changes to either the design or functionality may be charged at
additional costs at the discretion of Anna Celeste Watson and added to the final invoice.
- Any additional time or costs incurred to Anna Celeste Watson including searching for and purchasing images, setting-up email accounts
and purchasing domains etc, may be charged and invoiced at additional costs at the discretion of Anna Celeste Watson.
- Once the agreed work is completed and the site is put live - even if for any reason the site is not requested to go live within one week
from completion of the agreed work - the remainder of the payment will be due within the agreed time as specified on the final invoice,
unless otherwise agreed (usually within 14 days).
Client Delays and Unpaid Invoices
- If Anna Celeste Watson is kept waiting for over 8 weeks without receiving any content in order to proceed with or complete any agreed
work, then she reserves the right to charge for the remaining payment or at least part of the remaining payment at her discretion, unless
otherwise agreed.
- Any changes needed to the site resulting from a long delay in providing content may be charged at additional costs at the discretion of
Anna Celeste Watson.
- If the final invoice for the remaining payment is not paid within the agreed time then Anna Celeste Watson reserves the right to charge a
minimum of 1% interest for each day the payment is overdue, or at Anna Celeste Watson's discretion.
- In extreme circumstances, Anna Celeste Watson reserves the right to take the site offline if the final invoice for the remaining payment is
not paid within the agreed time, and may only put the site live again once the payment is received and the funds cleared in her bank,
unless otherwise agreed.
Timescales and Deadlines
- Anna Celeste Watson aims to complete all agreed work within a reasonable timescale as agreed. Clients will be informed if for any
reason there are any delays in completing the work and given regular updates on the site progress.
Subcontracted Work
- Anna Celeste Watson sometimes subcontracts work to her Associate Illustrator, Print Designers and Web Developers where necessary
and always keeps the client informed if this is the case and in some cases the client may be asked to work with and pay her Associates
directly and separately for such work.
- Anna Celeste Watson never subcontracts any conceptual web design / artwork except when collaborating with her Associate Partner
Illustrator Stu Jones.
- Large amounts of subcontracted work such as Web Development work for Content Managed Sites and Online Payment Systems are
usually invoiced directly from the Associate Company or Freelancer and not from Anna Celeste Watson. Anna Celeste Watson therefore
cannot be held responsible for work that is delayed or uncompleted by subcontractors but will of course endeavor to do everything within
her means to help clients to fulfill the project.
- If in the unlikely event Anna Celeste Watson became unable to complete the project, she would endeavour to do everything within her
means to hand the project over for completion by her Associates or to a third party with her client’s consent, or else hand over all
completed work to that date and cancel all remaining payments, and if relevant and at her discretion refund previous part payments.
- Other related services such as Hosting, Domain Names, Advanced Search Engine Optimisation and Photography can be arranged but
may be at additional costs, and is not under the management of Anna Celeste Watson.
Hosting
- Anna Celeste Watson’s Associate Web Developers DR Solutions International offer FREE hosting for 1 year for CMS sites they build for
her clients. All their hosting services offer FREE upgrades so there are therefore no data or usage restrictions.
Privacy Statement
- Any information users provide is solely to enable Anna Celeste Watson to process your enquiry or project and provide a high level of service. The information concerning you will be accurate and up to date and will be held in accordance with the law. If you find any inaccuracies she will delete or correct it promptly.
- Anna Celeste Watson agrees not to pass your details on to any other person or organisation without your permission or request to do so,
except to her relevant Associates if necessary for gathering quotations.
